Not much has been done this week, just the timber planking at the front of our house. This is the view from the garage of the lovely neighbours across the road.

Kitchen Benchtops

Went to the house on Saturday, but could not get in as it is at lockup and no one was there, I took a couple of snaps through the window to show the Caesarstone tops are on in the kitchen and probably in the Ensuite as well. Rendering has started on the front and the base coat is done with the 2 colour top coat to follow.

The Brickwork is moving along quite well and should be completedby weeks end

The internal work is looking good and the plaster is to go on this week.

Hope the weather is good this week for more bricks.

The Brickies have started and the front is coming along nicely.

We have a roof.

The roof tiles have been installed and the insulation foil is in place. All going well, the Brickies will start this week.

If the weather holds out we will have a roof on soon.

The concrete slab is now down, and considering the weather over the last couple of weeks, that is amazing.

The land is now ready for us to start to build, the builder said they should start around the end of May,

Moving along nicely, we have light poles and the start of the foot paths.

Things are happening

The road works are progressing and the gutters are done.



With a nice little drain right in front our property...



...and guess where they put all the soil from the excavation, a lovely mound on our lot (hope that gets taken away).

New beginnings

This is it. We've decided to build a new home after living in the same house for 25 years (so we're not young).

We put our house on the market then went looking at display homes and land in the south-east of Victoria. We immediately fell in love with the Atlantique from Carlisle Homes.

We soon discovered Sierra Estate and thought it would be the perfect place to build our new home. So we put a deposit on a block in the Stage 3 Release which wont Title until March 2010.

Work has started on the road to our block, here's a photo...
